Crisis Relief and Recovery
CRISIS RELIEF AND RECOVERY TRAINS AND DEPLOYS EVERYDAY PEOPLE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN DIFFICULT PLACES. We were created out of a desire to serve people affected by disasters around the world. Modeled after military & special operations planning methodologies and operational style, we strive to create highly-trained and professional teams that can act flexibly and bring additional resources to bear on a crisis situation.
HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT:
Crisis Relief and Recovery (CRR) is a Force Multiplier. A force multiplier is a tool, a technology or a weapon that dramatically increases the effectiveness of a group or team. We are that tool. Our Standard Operating Procedures and a rigorously- and consistently-trained leadership team provide a strong backbone from which to build a disaster response force. We are most effective when we:
- Identify disadvantaged communities impacted by disaster,
- Coordinate, integrate with, and mobilize local partners, and
- Design and implement a strategy to provide both immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts.
We can run a complex disaster relief operation across hundreds of homes with a highly-trained team of only 10 leaders. This light footprint allows us to act quickly, flexibly, and laser-focused for the needs of the communities we serve.
We do this through a partnership of a network of reliable, like-minded disaster relief partners and enablers. We call it ‘Power Through Partnership’ and we let other organizations shine and do what they do best, whether that is mucking and gutting, medical relief, aid distribution, food distribution, work teams, or home rebuilding.
